Here's how it works... Our instructors will get you started and guide you through the process to make sure you have a great time and get a good start. You’ll work with three 1 pound balls of clay; you’ll follow along with the instructor with the first, learn on your own with the second and make something that you’ll love with the third. Don't worry its not as intimidating as it sounds, your instructor will be there every step of the way to see you have fun and correct your form when they can to ensure a successful piece. When done, you can choose ONE pottery item from the ones you made, and we’ll trim and kiln bake it for you. Once it's done kiln baking we'll notify for your SECOND studio trip, that's right the fun doesn't stop at the wheel! Once you're called, you can come into custom paint your solidified pottery piece during the week at no charge. Once you're done your custom piece it'll then go into the kiln for a second time to make your paints bright, shiny, functional and permanent. Aprons are provided, but it’s likely you’ll still get some clay on the clothes, no problem it washes out. People with long nails will find the process a good deal harder so we'll teach you the best way we know how, with a sponge. If you have the choice, believe me postpone your nail appointment until after, your little ball of clay will thank you. Duration 1.45 hours. Unfortunately the $50 deposit is non-refundable, but can be converted to store credit that's valid for 6 months if you aren't able to make it. minimum 2 guests = $130 Additional potters are $65 Includes a 2nd weekday painting trip + kiln baking *Tax is not included with the pricing*

We appreciate a 48hr notice to avoid any unnecessary set up, if we are not notified your credit will be invalid. LATE FOR A WORKSHOP: We start our classes on time, so please don’t be late. We understand that sometimes there are unforeseeable issues. These things happen. Do try your best to not disturb the class any further once you have arrived. If you are 5-10 minutes late to a workshop it makes it really hard on the instructor and the class. Please avoid this by arriving 5-10 minutes early. The classroom itself will open up 5 minutes before the start of the class so you have time to grab an apron and settle in. If you are more than 15 minutes late to a workshop you are just not going to have enough time to complete the necessary steps in the project and you may not be able to join in. Understand that we cannot offer a refund or credit if you are late and unable to join the class. We require 48 hours notice for any cancellations and transfers and could have had another artist in your place. Thank you for your understanding. CLAY WORKSHOP NOTICE: Kiln clay explosions are unlikely but they do happen. In the event of a clay piece being damaged due to a kiln explosion, we are happy to provide an opportunity to come in and remake your art piece, you have 35 days to rebook after notification after that it will be invalid. Refunds are not provided for damaged clay due to kiln explosions. Please note each artist is responsible for ensuring pieces are securely attached and follow the necessary steps in order to avoid breakage and air pockets. Main Ideas is not responsible for repair or replacement to clay pieces.
